So I am on Academic Probation at school this semester because I did so shitty last semester. It is all due to a number of reasons. I currently have a 1.8 and I have never had a low GPA before. My classes are really hard this semester and I still have the same issues as last semester including new ones now. I think Im only gonna be able to pull 2 D's, a C and B. I dont think I'm allowed to get under a C with academic probation. I really cant get kicked out of school and I have one semester left. Do you think they would kick me out if I'm struggling and that's all I could pull? If i talk to the dean and tell him my issues do they consider or just kick you out anyways?

well if you just explain that your having a really hard and try really hard from now on they should understand

I know at my last school, it depended on the school on how long you have to pull your grades back up. Talk to your adviser and see what you can do and what there is you can do. If that doesn't seem to work, talk to another adviser or even the head of the school and see what you can do. Don't just take what one person says to heart, but several. That way you can be positive with whatever you've been told and you know its a fact or not. It also helps clear up any confusion you might have.

If you talk to the dean and tell the school what is going on and it's legit, they may consider letting you stay and helping you out as long as you show them that you are committed to doing better.

I would recommend talking to your adviser as well. That's the only person who can give you an honest answer. I go to Drexel in Philadelphia where you can get a 2.0 and somehow still graduate.

I was afraid my grades were going to drop this semester due to personal problems, too. I spoke to the TA of one of my classes about it and he offered to speak to my counselor to see what could be done. He also offered up a few options that, unfortunately, my counselor shot down but you should give something similar a go. There are ways to get around this if you truly need help.

That sounds rough man, I'm going through something similar (although you sound like you have more trouble atm). Try listening to some trance to let you forget for a couple minutes at least; here's a good track: http://youtube.com/watch?v=lyldOqXTdHk&feature=related

I would try. I think you have better odds if they can see some visible improvement from last semester (ie- all E's to your grades now or something) but if you're only allowed 2 semesters you might be screwed.

i thought i was gonna get academic probation too and they changed it last semester. if you did good all the other semesters then they should understand that someone has a hard time with things once in a while. just explain to them what you told us.

talk to the dean, go to teachers and tell them you need extra help. if you look like your at least putting in work to try. they will see that hopefully. good luck.
