What do you mean, 'This computer doesnt boot, just starts up'??

Well, you definitely can't call them now, it's too late.  But depending on what time you brought it in, you might be able to ask them to give it back... who knows, the best bet is to just call them up and see what they can do.

I've read various stories about them, none good. I would never trust anyone with a name like 'Geek Squad'.

what i mean is, the computer turns on, the fans spin, a green light is shown on the motherboard and it doesnt boot, just stays on, no signal on monitor

does it beep? like a few beeps. There are what are known as BIOS beep codes to let you know if something isnt working.

doesnt make any beeps at all

I assume you have a video card on there to, right?

Is it in the right spot, securely attached, etc.

If its only a PCI card, it should be in the first PCI slot. If its PCI-E, but your board has on board video, boot without the card, then switch it to PCI-E video.

NEVER take something you built to a company like that for repair. It probably has something wrong with it that they will have never experienced before, and they are going to charge you an arm and a leg, and they still wont figure it out.

the motherboard has no onboard video, how do i?

ya they might only have instore experience with name brand computers. i would never never never take my customer built pc to any type of repair shop. my dad even asked me to and i'm like no way. i can fix it myself.

mmm dosent passs power on self test if it dosent beep. or if it beeps lots. try just making sure that all the connections are in properly and all your cards are in properly and cables.
