All Hail Petraeus. At least that man knows what the hell he's doing and how to possibly snatch victory from the jaw of defeat.

i sympathy with us citizens who are alley for this war...bcs they don't know anything about it !...neither how hazardous it is nor how silly to decline this war...ugh..

Support the troops, not the war. I think the Govnt is looking for excuses to go invade another country.

I honestley support the war. Im not just saying that because im fighting in it as we speak. If you where to walk the streets that these people call home day in and day ut you'd understand. To see kids run up to our convoys as we drive by on our mission waving at us is heart warming. Needless to say there government needs alot of work. I understand alot more than what is directed back to the civilians of america. This war is to benefit the Middle East. In no means is it to benefit our own. Maybe if you look at this whole thing from a soldiers eyes you could tell. JUST a thought.

All hail the "former" insurgents who were bought out by the US.  They're the real reason why casualties have been down.

I think the war is one big scam.   We went in because Saddam Hussein switched his oil transactions to be done in Euros instead of Dollars.

Last I heard, Iran was the latest to do so, and just recently at that.

I don't think Venezuela or Saudi Arabia have denominated in Euros, especially not the Saudis.  Aren't they who we have the major oil contract for themto sell their oil in Dollars and we keep em supplied with arms etc.?

-- Posted by lsd at 10:35 pm on May 6, 2008

I thought the Saudis were mulling the idea.

But they haven't done so. The only nations that I know of now that are denominating oil transactions in something other then dollars is Venezuela and possibly Iran.
