ok, I'm *trying* to install the drivers for my external modem.

I want to know how i can tell which of these is my provider:

PPPoA
or
PPPoE

umm, and I use broadband.

ideas?

who is your isp?

You don't use PPP or need drivers for your modem if you're using a broadband connection.

Unless you're using USB, which is retardo.

First off, as your thread title states - ISP.

Do you have one? You can't just buy a modem and plug it in and it will work. You must pay monthly for your internet service.

of course I do. Anyway, as I said it's not important now. I still can't get the fucking modem to work, so I'll stick with the router. it's not ideal.
