Seriously, I really hate meeting guys because they scare me. I'm fairly small and I've been in an abusive relationship before, so I'm always afraid that they're going to attack me.

It sounds totally ridiculous I know, but I'm terrified. I refuse to walk anywhere by myself - I always make my friend Mike (who is one guy that I am not afraid of) walk me home, or my brother.

What is wrong with me? I know that all guys (well, most guys) don't want to attack me and rape me or kill me, but I just can't shake that feeling. Especially because they all seem to be so tall, when I'm only 5'2".

How can I get rid of this?

there's nothing wrong with you.
you've obviously been scarred by what's happened to you previously and in my opinion you should maybe talk to a counsellor or something because there is obviously still problems there.
hope everything goes ok. x

Thanks.

I do think I need to talk to somebody - I can't stand that my ex-boyfriend still has this control over me.

I'm 5'1 so don't feel bad. And talking to a councellor might help. I'm guessing you've had bad experiences before.

i've got something good for you to take care of this

goto the gym (maybe womens) and get strong and also run alot.
take martial arts classes where you can learn to kick guys
butts but bewarned...guys and girls both practice with eachother
with moves but you'll get some friends.

now what will happen is that you know how to kick a guys butt
over time and you'll be able to over power a guy over time
this will instill confidence in you.
