-- Posted by InsaneBlue at 8:22 pm on April 30, 2008 I have a website that's is a completely homemade crockpot of a few static pages. Everything is written in simple HTML. So it isn't a code problem. I updated a page on it a while ago, and it was taking an overly long time to show the update. I checked again four hours late and IT STILL was not updated. So I considered that my browser might be messing with me, so I try it in IE and whaddaya know, the page is as it should be. I clear all my data in firefox and try again and receive the same result. So this is really bugging me because if someone was there earlier, they may only see the older version. Is it possible something weird in there is triggering firefox to cache it and pull that one up every time? No and yes. -- Posted by JeremyM at 7:51 am on May 7, 2008 It's your browser(s). HTML would have no effect. Neither would your server or DNS. I always set my browsers to cache nothing or if anything, as little as possible. If you're on a cable or DSL connection, cache is a waste of drive space.
