-- Posted by rand0mguy at 10:39 pm on April 30, 2008 ok so im trying to hook up ual monitors so i can extend my desktop to the other one. currently i have my monitor hooked up through my graphics card, and the computer has onbuilt graphics card as well. now i only have 1 agp slot and thats in use so i thought i would use one of my craper pci graphics cards, so i hooked that up and it ddnt install itsself, so i manualy installed it. but then at the end of the driver installation it says error initiating deveice or something similar. now i would rather hook up my second monitor to the onbuilt graphics bcuz its 64mb (compared to my range of crappy pci cards, the highest being 16mb). does anyone know how to do this, its never worked for me with windows xp, but it did work having 1 monitor in graphics card and 1 on onbuilt back on my windows 98 one -- Posted by Dickij03 at 3:00 pm on May 7, 2008 Your onboard is usually disabled at bios when a dedicated gpu is detected. Some motherboard give the option of allowing you to run both at the same time. Tipically it'll be Onboard GPU: -OFF -ON -Off when Dedicated gpu detected Pick on and once into windows it should auto pick it up and install it.
