-- Posted by Bestm8ts at 12:57 pm on May 7, 2008 Hey.. i was wondering if someone could help me! im setting up a website for a 15 hour exam.. ive done the work but i have to duplicate it at college.. the only problem is alot of my images are .png files with transarency effect.. the school is using internet explorer 6 and the transparency effect doesnt show up.. its just blue! i tried to get around this by copying the background image and adding it to the background of each transparent image but its not gona work because it has to be pixel perfect and .. well its just not gona work! to evidence our work we have to print all the stuff out.. we can use screen shots.. so i was going to just take screenshots in dreamweaver except i cant seem to be able to get rid of these table outlines... anyone know how to?? it would save my life! -- Posted by Shmakka at 1:06 pm on May 7, 2008 Can't you just view it in your browser ? -- Posted by Bestm8ts at 1:08 pm on May 7, 2008 Quote: from Shmakka at 1:06 pm on May 7, 2008 Can't you just view it in your browser ? the only stuff i can print out is during the exam.. and the computers dont have IE7... its just such a pain in the arse! It's something you're doing wrong. Those table "outlines" in dreamweaver can be turned off somewhere in the preferences. I can't remember where, as I don't use tables. Take screenshots of it on your own browser at home, upload them to your school user account, and access them in the exam. Not quite sure what you mean by little images. -- Posted by Bestm8ts at 4:07 pm on May 8, 2008 ok.. to clear a few things up lol... - gifs do not support transparency effects and i need that effect for the image to fit with the design... - IE6 does not support transparents png's.. its nothign to do with lossy.. its just whatever is supposed to be transparent comes out blue - its an exam.. i can submit pictures and resources to be checked but i cannot email stuff to myself... thanks for your help though.. the situation has been resolved.. i was able to work out how to remove the table outline ... its VIEW -> VISUAL AIDS -> TABLE BORDERS (untick).. for anyone who is interested.. thanks again :D
