-- Posted by Precious Jewels at 5:48 pm on May 8, 2008 SO, basically i have this oral history report i have to do about the civil rights movement which has to do with racial discrimination and such, and it got me to thinkin, some ppl say if a white girl dates a black guy, the white girls family totally disowns her, or vise versa, and i was thinkin....tht cant be true? But is it??? Do black families reject there son//daughter if they marry or date another white person? It jst seems kinda unjust, but i dk. And then i thought, do black ppls families talk about white ppl the way some white ppls families do? Example: White family; Oh theres tht black guy, i bet hes about to steal something.  or   Black Family; Oh theres tht white person, stupid rich boy.   ??? it sorta seems weird to me to think the ppl in the world are still like this....but is it true? Is the world still like this? Do you guys kno families or live in families tht arent really racist but seem to think whites shouldnt be mixing with blacks, tht think black ppl shuld have every right to do wht the other races do...but not to get involved with a white family or vise versa???
