I run duel operating systems on my laptop, Vista for gaming/fun, and XP for my business/school/work stuff.

I am generally 60% of the time on vista however. the whole vista interface, kinda grows on you.

I run Linux Mint (pretty close to Ubuntu) for pretty much everything.  About 95% of the time.  I've got my laptop dual booted with Vista, but I almost never use it.  Only for the one or two programs I haven't gotten working yet in Mint.  I'm thinking of just axe-ing Vista and running some version of windows in a virtual machine.  Linux works a heck of a lot better than any of my experiences with windows.

XP Pro.

I sometimes use Linux, either Ubuntu or Gentoo.

I despise Vista, but I really hate using OSX too. OSX is like everythng I dislike about Windows combined with the few things I dislike about Linux, and very few of the advantages other than straight out appearance. Admitedly, I haven't used OSX much- mostly because the few times I try, I hate it.

XP is my preferred because everything just works on it, and it's pretty much rock stable on my system.

Opposite for me- Vista's Aero look was nice, but nothing that Linux doesn't do better both in look and function.
But in terms of usability... the new interface gets an F- from me.

Most glaring example:

In all other OSes that I've used, "Sort by Date" or some equivalent is a very easily accessible option for viewing and listing files, whether you're in a console window or a full GUI folder view.
Guess what? In Vista, some fucktard thought it would be awesome to remove it as a default context menu option, and intstead put in truly useless shit like "Sort by Artist Name" in folders full of photos. Sort by size and sort by name are not default, and worse, I often end up having to set each folder's context menu manually. Words cannot express how much of a pain in the ass that is, just to get back a normally common function.

It feels like all across Vista though- Core, common functions that are easily accessible and clear in all other OSes, including MS's own older versions of windows, are obscure and mutilated in Vista.
A mediocre new visual interface is not worth all that crap, sorry.

DAMNNNNN! Everyone loves XP.

I love Vista because I'm using it now. It's so simple & easy.

I used to use and love vista extensively, till it suddenly stopped working out of nowhere on me. After Reformatting left me unable to install XP or Vista for no apparent reason I was left with switching to Ubuntu 8.10. So I pulled my desktop out of the closet and now use both XP on my desktop and Ubuntu on my laptop in roughly equal proportion.
