The next morning I go to turn it on, (which I don't recall shutting it down that night), and it's saying "error ... press Alt+Ctrl+delete if its your first time seeing this screen". I do so, and it comes up again and saying something about a file from system 32 on the C: Drive is missing. And so, my computer won't run. If system 32 has an error, then there is nothing you can do unfortunatley, except get it repaired at a computer store. However, if you still have the CDs that came with the computer, I think that one of them might have a backup of it. Thanks. It may be possible to restore the missing System 32 file without reinstalling the Operating System. Re-installing the OS will make you lose all of your data so if there is something on your computer that you need, you should avoid reinstalling the OS, but try repairing it, if all fails you may need to reinstall the OS.
