I work as a camp director. I work with kids, have great hours, and get paid well. I am also kind of the boss. Look for camps at the YMCA or Boys and Girls Club.

There are plenty of jobs available at sports centres and stuff - working with kids and organising sporting activities if that's what you'd be interested in. As someone mentioned, summer camps are always looking for new recruits.

I was thinking of bar tending or possibly getting a job at a local gym and maybe being a personal trainer, but I don't know the policy on only working for the summer, and if those places would want to hire you knowing you are just going to leave in 2 or 3 months :-/

You just need to explain you're looking for a summer job. Some will accept, some will not. Bar tending would be okay...you could even keep that job after summer and work weekends

Being a life guard during the summer is a great summer job. They make pretty good money too. And since you're the athletic type, you can find a bunch of sport jobs at jobsinsports.com.
