I want to build my own PC and was wanting some advice on what would be good to put in it like an ATX motherboard or something else yadda yadda you get the idea

You should put RAM into your computer.

ermm.. as much RAM as possible 2gb is a good starting point doe. make sure u get the right type of ram thingie for the slots and it depends how much u wanna spend really... like if your a gamer get a good graphics card.. i'm not that good at graphics card.. normally the more expensive the better.. i normally got for Nvidia graphics cards but thats just me ooo also get a good looking case for it

i would get something with a lot of memory and with internet and a webcam built into it but thats just me

as much ram as the motherboard takes, intel dual core processor, 160hb hard drive or bigger.

Q6600 is a good processor for bang per buck. also a 680i chipset motherboard go for a decent price now 2-4 Gb of ddr2 ram 800mhz/1066 depending on what your motherboard takes Midrange gpu: Ati 3850 or 8600gt Better gpus: 9600gt, 8800gt, 8800gts best: 9800 or 9800gx2 or ati 3870x2 450-600 watt psu depending on vcard selected any 7200 rpm hdd should do depending on how much you plan to store.

My recommendations Duel Core intel CPU 4gb RAM 8000 or 9000 Series Nvidia Graphics card 320 GB HDD All the extras etc depending on your budget. What are you going to use this computer for? gaming I assume?

i'm with dickij03 on this one but i would go with the nforce 7 series if you have the money so you dont have to upgrade soon as the nforce 6 series (i have it). make sure you have good cooling and i wouldn't suggest water cooling or big heatsinks that stand way up over the cpu. get a case that has 120mm fans.

What's the primary purpose for the new PC? Furthermore, what's your total price limit?
