They can last from several minutes to hours, yes. Do you regularly have panic attacks? I think the important thing to focus on would be receiving help for them, rather than how long they last. I understand how horrible it must have been for you, particularly as it lasted so long, and I'm really sorry for that. If you do get panic attacks a lot, or if you just want something to be done about them, then there's no harm in visiting a doctor, y'know?
