I missed my little sister's graduation ceremony...

It couldn't be helped...the money to fly home just wasn't there, and my father wasn't helping much on that... even my mother and sister said they understand, that it wasn't my fault or anyone's...it's just life.

but I still feel like shit, though.  I wanted to be there so much...I just wanted to be the big brother she always wanted...I'm hopeless.  I couldn't even prepare in time to make plans to go, school and bills just kept coming up...

aww, dont feel too bad. just make sure to spend a lot of time with her this summer and stuff. treat her to a day at the mall to make up for it.  the ceremony isnt really that important anyways, its how you show her u care about her

Thats the bad part about moving far away from home.
My cousin is graduating this weekend from college and I will miss it cause of distance.

She's your sister and I'm sure that she will understand.

Don't feel bad. If anything, they usually make tapes of the graduation ceremony, and you can buy one and then call her up while watching it and it'd sorta be the same.

graduation is a small step....
you can watch her grow as a person and when you are there to see
that happen...it is better than a graduation.
