Sorry if this is in the wrong section, this one suit it as close as any other. But my question is, has anyone here recorded lectures before? And what equipment did you use, and how well did it work? If possible, can anyone give me some direction on what brand or type or model of microphone and/or software to look for, or possible other resources. Thanks in advance.

Thanks smartass, unfortunately some of us have classes with about 1500 other people in it some of whom are there because of how much money they have rather than how many braincells. The point of me asking was to record it for future use so if I need it I can recap it, because I doubt that even someone as great as you BehindBars doesn't have a perfect memory.

I type. And type. And type. I don't use any type of recorder. I assume one of those little battery powered audio recorders would do the job (if you can manage to sit close so it can pick up on the sound.)

i studied usually straight out of the textbook, but i know some teachers are annoying and don't do that, so i recommend just taking notes and showing them to ur teacher and ask if u are getting the main points
