i dont know about SFSU, but i do know about college credits. I took 16 credits with a part time job and I wanted to DIE!!!!! though taking 12 will be significantly better to manage

That'd be 4 regular classes. Workload will be high but manageable. It depends on the individual though - your time management skills, how much you prefer to go out each week, whether you can study under pressure. Plenty of people do it. I can't say more 'cause I'm in Australia, so that's just the basic info I know.

Credit weightings vary as well. 1 unit or course at one university might be 3 credits, but at another it could be 6. The best bet would be talking to student admin or something like that on campus, and figure out how they organise the timetables.

Whats your major? If you are science related and have lab classes, you may only need to take 3 classes. But more than likely you'll have 4 classes. You can handle a job with 4 classes. I held down two jobs while taking 5-6 classes. I'd still have two jobs if I hadnt moved.
