Whoever makes fun of disabled kids are losers. How would you feel if you are stuck in a wheelchair all day? or maybe cant pronounce alot of words?

-- Posted by Corrupted Innocence at 6:56 pm on May 26, 2008

Personally i would never do that it's wrong! Also can be very hurtful to his or hers feelings.

I agree! Their life is already hard. Why make it worse?

I used to make fun of mentally challenged kids and now I feel horrible so now I go to all of the special Olympics nearby and volunteer to be one of their buddies that cheers them on during the races and stuff

Exactly, which is why i never say "you're retarded" or "you're a cripple." it's sort of like saying "that's gay".

I make fun of all the disabled kids I work with. Although my acerbic sarcasm often backfires when directed at people with autism. You just can't win in that arena, not a good idea.

A lot of the time when people make fun of others with disabilities it is down to ignorance. People who don't understand why someone else behaves the way they do may very well make fun of them to feel less awkward themselves.

People used to mock me because I couldn't spell well but I had a spelling disability. I beleive it's called dysgraphia. I just recently learned the name for it.

Do you mean dyspraxia?

I'm slightly disabled and everyone used to pick on me and I didn't realize they were being jerks! Now I know better than to make fun of someone like that

I know what it's like to be in a wheelchair all day. It sucks. It pisses me off when people ignore me because they don't know how to communicate with me,. There's nothing wrong with my brain, if they spoke to me they would know that.
