I used to cut when I was younger....I stopped when I was like 16 but recently I've been going thru so much madness and stress that I started cutting again. I feel like I'm outta my mind....like I'm supposed to be past this point in my life. I'm an adult now....are there any other adults out here cutting? plz tell me I'm not alone

i think most teenagers go through a stage of cutting. i read somewhere that one in 3 teenagers try it or something. dont worry, just try not to do it, but if its the only way you can feel in control then dont worry. your definately not alone, in my college i know a lot of my friends have cutting addictions, and most of them are trying to quit. perhaps get some medical help like CCT therapy (client centred therapy). its a non directive client lead talking approach, often used in counselling. then you can get your problems sorted for ever.
good luck

Don't go back to if you've been off it for a few years, it doesn't feel fresh or as good as the first time you did it .
They say it takes 7 years to fully recoup from it. So don't delay those 7 years dear.

Give or take then, it must be more per individual case.
Find a new outlet. Get a punchbag. Bake cookies.

I cut in high school, and then stopped right after senior year ended. I thought I was done with it, but then in college I relapsed. BADLY. I think the problem was worse than it ever was before. I'm still cutting, even more than I did when I was younger. I don't think it's something you grow out of...I don't think age has anything to do with it. I think it's something that needs to be solved. You are definitely not alone. It's not that easy to just stop.

Message me if you want to talk.
