The 2008 U.S. Presidential Election is in November. This seems to be quite the interesting topic constantly flooding the Fresh Topics and Teen Politics forum. This sticky is created to prevent any more of these inevitable topics. Please vote accordingly. Both McCain and Obama (Republican and Democratic Nominees) are listed. If you feel someone else should win, please vote other.. For candidate and race information/updates, please view THIS thread. Thanks.

OBAMA!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ftw! BLACK POWER!
Do you even know what his policies are? I'm worried that people like you are voting for Obama only because he's black.

Hahahaha. you should do stand up. that was a joke right? Definitely Ron Paul. I would think that teens like ourselves would all agree on this.

i dislike obama for one thing, he needs to run as president for all people not just for black people, what he has done is great but ultimatly has only been allowed by black and white people voting for him this aside, i still vote obama

No Clinton? Bullshit poll.
Clinton has been "out" since she lost 11 primaries in a row back in feb.
Definitely Ron Paul. I would think that teens like ourselves would all agree on this.
Ron Paul is cool at heart. He doesn;t play politics, but he is SEVERELY socially conservative. The ajority of young people are leaning liberal, so no, I can't see why the youth would support Paul.
i dislike obama for one thing, he needs to run as president for all people not just for black people,
When has he EVER segregated a group of people(s) from the rest as the faction he is running for??
hat he has done is great but ultimatly has only been allowed by black and white people voting for him
That is like 98% of the electorate.

Im for mcain, but not enough to put up a bunch of pictures. and not because i agree with him, because i agree with obama less.
-- Posted by happyhipposnacks at 8:35 pm on June 17, 2008
i'm voting for mccain. how many of you who answered this poll are actually old enough to vote?
-- Posted by Strlder at 8:46 pm on June 17, 2008
voting for McCain is a good idea. Tell me, how are you going to handle it when you are drafted? That is gunna be hard on you and your family. I think that Ron Paul would be great for young people. He wouldn't have us die in a pointless war. He would get us out of debt. over 9 tril now. thats over 30k per person in the US. have fun paying that off. He would restore our liberties. Who doesn't like freedom. Not the 'freedom' we have now but the actual freedom that the founding fathers had in mind.

[QUOTE]voting for McCain is a good idea. Tell me, how are you going to handle it when you are drafted? That is gunna be hard on you and your family. I support a draft. If McCain does that that would be awesome. It's not such a big deal to serve your country and actually do something worthwhile for your country for a few years for gods sake. Get over it.

The thing I fear in this election is that people will vote not based on views or experience or record, but on charm and youth.

Get over it. Big deal if we go into other peoples countries and cause the deaths of hundreds of thousands. We should all join up. Worthwhile? Reading this appalls me. I would not be serving my countries best interest. I'd be serving the government. They just steal money from us. "We as Americans are being taxed constantly to blow up bridges around the world, and then we're taxed to rebuild them. [The government should] not blow up those bridges, not rebuild those bridges and start looking at our problems at home" "our government's foreign policy has put the American people in greater danger and made us more vulnerable to attack than we would otherwise have been" p. 16 Why are we fighting? Are we combating terrorrsim or conducting it?

I was going to support Obama, but the guy lost my vote. tk
