Alright, the percussionists of our marching band have to go to a special camp for one week to get set on and instrument and stuff. It goes for 3 straight hours each day with no brakes at all. Well, today was only the second day and I am bleeding from 3 places (cymbals), my back is absolutely killing me, and my arms are in great pain. Any of you ever done drum camp? If not then you need to. Yes, yes I am a whiney little bitch.

It's brutal yes, but a solid percussion section is vital to any marching band. Take solace in the fact that when other new kids start normal band camp, you'll already be well adjusted. :)

I had guard camp all this week 8-5 and our percussion had the same hours as us this week. I am sorta sore but I don't complain it's my 3rd year so i'm used to bruised up hands and legs.

I'm doing it this year, first week from 8am-5pm, second week from 8am-9pm. I get to play tenors this year so my back should be feeling great after all this.
