Do you believe in crop circles? Some of them I have seen are pretty damn good to be man made hoaxes.

-- Posted by inkblot at 8:44 pm on June 3, 2008

No, I don't.

-- Posted by hateitandloveit at 8:45 pm on June 3, 2008

Nope

-- Posted by Moshigrl at 8:45 pm on June 3, 2008

In all honesty I don't know whether I believe in them or not..

-- Posted by Innuendo Girl at 8:45 pm on June 3, 2008

Yes, I believe in crop circles.

I don't know if I believe they were made by aliens though. I think they have better things to do and better ways to communicate with us than make circles in fields

Truth.
One man recorded   his crops the whole day, secretly, and caught NOTHING.
Yet....a day later  they went on a helicopter and there was a massive crop circle.

I know people who have made them...

-- Posted by kittymunchy at 8:48 pm on June 3, 2008

some of them are man-made...

but humans have replicated them before.

You are unbelievably stupid....
How the fuck can a man or group of men make mile-wide shapes without anybody noticing?

How can an alien ship land without anyone noticing?

Touché

Pretty easy, considering that they'd have huge advantages over us in stealth and technology. Also, I find it funny that people second guess the motivations of aliens based on human conceptions of logic.

By the way, every strange phenomena has a completely explainable cause within mainstream, peer reviewed science.

1. [my disclaimer] I believe that other life exists out there [hell, hubble just found biological life elsewhere in the galaxy] though I am iffy about whether or not they waste their time here.

2. How do you know the advantages any alien life-form would have over us in stealth? It seems logical to assume that, but if they were trying to be stealthy, why make crop circles?

3. Logic is not a human creation. Logic is the natural, physical way of things, and we USE logic to UNDERSTAND things. Logic would only change if the physical laws of nature changed... "human" logic would be identical to an alien logic that abides by our physical laws.

i mean our 'logic' and 'conventional wisdom', maybe even the 'laws of physics' b ecause there might be a lot more out there.

even if they didnt use their 'stealth' itd likely be much harder to spot than a helicopter touching down or something, people have reported seeing them though so i guess they have seen them b ut its impossible to tell what s reliable

How can the idea of aliens creating crop circles be falsified?

-- Posted by somelikeitred at 6:34 am on June 4, 2008

crop circles have been around for ever, crazy. yeah, sure why not. i'll believe. but i have questions

it cant, now. thats why we look into the general phenomena more before demanding scientific evidence or screaming about how everything is fake

-- Posted by Kitty Kiska at 10:13 am on June 4, 2008

Thats one thing i dont believe...aliens...a load of crap
people try to find evidence of them, its pathetic!!!

who ever does it must know a way to do it well but for aliens to land to make a little picture in the midle of a field...i mean why not go elsewhere or do something else...

-- Posted by iconoclast at 10:14 am on June 4, 2008

yeah man theres no aliens in our universe

It cannot be falsified? Then the idea is so poor that it isn't even wrong. You are the weakest link. Good bye.

-- Posted by iconoclast at 1:08 pm on June 4, 2008

no, then the idea should be investigated further so that we can falsify it, duhr

-- Posted by Periwinkle at 10:23 am on June 11, 2008

Yeah, I believe they exist, mostly because we find them and can't really deny they're there.

However, I tend to buy the 'bored people with too much time on their hands' theory more than the 'aliens are visiting Earth and leave nothing behind except some pretty patterns' theory.
