-- Posted by pumpkin475 at 10:33 pm on June 4, 2008 ya know what i love about bellydancing? not only the fact that it's such a beautiful and expressive artform, but i like that all these women gather together for a hafla looking beautiful and dancing gorgeously and exotically and there isn't a man to be found! lol dont get the wrong idea. i'm straight. but it's just when you dance in the public, the majority of the men (hence that i said majority cus not all men are like this) wont sit there and admire the beauty of the dance or the skill required to do it, but they gawk and drool and lust. it's quite annoying. bellydancers want to be able to express themselves without feeling like they're being looked at like they're candy. i want to thank the men that accually do appretiate the beauty of the art. but it's just that at haflas and bellydance get-togethers, where it's kinda a bellydancers-only kinda thing, women can wear whatever they want without being judged and/or lusted after. and we are free to express ourselves. and for the fun of it, why dont you all watch this amazing bellydancer! -- Posted by Latin Muscle at 10:34 pm on June 4, 2008 I like the art of it.
