Does anyone know the law in Pennsylvania for finding alcohol in an apartment off campus? Like, 1) If the residents of the apartment are all under the age of 21 2) If there was a noise complaint and the cops have to break up a party 3) If someone specifically calls a tapline and says there will be a party at that house Do you know what the citrations would be or what would happen/ Also, what are the laws if Only 1 resident isd drinking or has alcohol..? What if the other roomates were not involved, but still live there?

Erm, technically they can't come in without a warrant, so when they knock, hide the alcohol/underage people in the back. Just have at least one person over 21 (that lives there) Answer the door. Keep your parties small if there are a lot of underage kids.

usually the situation follows strict search and seizure laws. The police can come by to investigate a noise complaint however, they cannot enter your dwelling without either a warrent or seeing what appears to be an underage drinker. However if you announce publicly that you are having a party, that is grounds for search. So in other words, keep it low key and don't let the cops in without a warrent. As far as there only being one underage drinker, if there are any people 21 and older on the premisis at the time they are laible for being charged with supplying a minor based off circumstance.

if everyones under 21 theres fines involved and maybe a short stay at the station, if someone i over 21 they run. I know in my area everyone under 21 is 100+ dollar fine and a big party that adds up and you know that most of those kids wont pay the fine for the kid that helped them drink

Pretty much. Get everything out of sight, make sure the person answering the door is at least 21 if you can't get a 21 yr old who lives there, and tell the cops to come back with a warrant....which, actually, they just might depending on how bored they are and how many complaints they have received.

Just don't have any out of control parties. If you have a party are you really going to be spending time with everyone there? Just have a small group of friends over and keep things under control. If you don't give the cops a reason to show up then they won't. It's not like they're going to come knocking on your door asking to look in your fridge. If you get busted it's your own fault.
