i was wondering if anybody knows if you can use the microphones that you get for PS3s on your computer...probably a stupid question, but I was curious

What kind of port does it use? If it's USB then yes, if it's a 3.5mm stereo jack then yes, anything else then most likely no.

Then you should be able to. Windows should recognise it and then you can select the source in whatever program you are trying to use it with.
