I never used eye drops, but they can come in handy when you are first using contacts. Your eyes tend to dry out a lot. In fact, first time I got them in, I didn't even realize they were in because I couldn't even feel them. And you only need to use eyedrops if your eyes get dry, which doesn't happen very often. The first few times putting them in and taking them out feels weird. It doesn't hurt. You get used to it fast. At first it felt strange, but after a while it became a perfectly natural thing to me. I never had to put in eye drops... although occasionally if I was out and they were irritating me, I would put a couple of drops of water into my eye. I am dependent with eyeglasses before but now I used to wear contact lens. At first, wearing contact lens hurts but as go along with it, you'll get used to it and it won't hurt anymore.
