-- Posted by drifting at 12:40 pm on June 7, 2008 So I got stuck using Meebo when I had to use my parents computer for a few weeks. Now, Ive got a ton of chat logs generated, and I kinda like it. The only thing I dont like is having to have Firefox open to use it. Is there a PC app that I could download and install and use it? I know that kind of defeats the purpose, but I like it a little more than Trillian, because it has my chat logs saved there, and I can view them when Im away from my PC. It runs in the internet browser, since obviously you have never used Meebo. I was using history.im to keep my chat logs backed up, but that wont be free in a few weeks, and I dont like having them on my PC, because its a pain to back up (and store) 2.5gb of chat logs (thats about three months worth). Ill just keep looking, because there has to be! And as someone else pointed out, the reason I like Meebo is because its all stored on THEIR servers, I dont have to worry about keeping backups of chat logs, or paying to keep mine saved.
