i've noticed that my piano teacher teaches like .... pretty much beginners and some intermediate students like me...

but when i went to my friend's piano recital it was all like super advanced students

i just picked my teachers name off of a list of teachers my band teacher gave me

do some teachers only teach beginners or something and some only advanced students ????

Some teachers do only teach up to a certain standard, either from choice or because they only feel capable of teaching pupils up to a certain point.

The other teacher may have had more experience of teaching advanced pupils and therefore attracted more advanced pupils.
