I wanna buy my ratties a nice, comfortable roomy cage, but the best ones are so expensive. The pet shop sells them for outrageous prices, but no other stores around here have any rat cages. What's a rat breeder to do?

I don't even understand why someone would pay five bucks for a DAMN rat. Gross.

How many rats are there? If you think it's worth it, then do it. Especially if you're breeding them and then reselling them. Eventually it'll pay for itself. Either that, or look at fleamarkets and such for a used one. Might even talk to a petstore and such places to find out where you can find a much cheaper cage.

The rats from pet shops are domesticated. They'd die pretty quickly. I'm sorry, but unfortunately, making the cages are more expensive than breeding rats which means they'll obviously be a lot more expensive in price. However, you could always buy a cheaper cage and save up for a bit to buy them a nicer one.

Yes, because you're going to find a completely nice, disease-free cage at a fleamarket.
