But as soon as I came to college, I met ALL sorts of people and personalities. And I hate to say it, but it seems like nobody here values true friendship. Sure, I have TONS of people that I go out partying with on the weekends but during the weekdays everything that they do makes me think they have their own agenda. Nobody is willing to help anyone. Why is that? Isn't college the time for making real close friendships? Why does nobody care? One time a friend's friend came over and didn't have a place to sleep. I actually went and pulled out my huge heavy mattress into the living room just so he could have a place to sleep. He looked at me surprised and said "you know, nobody would ever do something like this." And I responded "really? wouldn't all friends do this?" I mean, I can't believe he was surprised at what I did. Does nobody care about friends anymore? -- Posted by isobel at 9:20 am on June 14, 2008 Yes, of course. I made awesome AND true friends in college.
