Yesterday I got in the mood to get back in shape, and i ran and exercised...i want to lose a little weight. I felt really good after i ran, but then at around 9:30 at nite, i had a penut butter sandwich and a chocolate bar! AHHHHHH There went all that exercise! ahh...how do i stop myself?

well, peanutbutter has a lot of protein which is good after working out and chocolate isnt bad every so often. don't worry about it.

You didn't undo it all. You still got some cardio vascular benefit. And the PB sandwich gave you protein and carbs your body figured it needed. Next time, though have healthier, low fat (I presume that's the source of your anxiety) snacks ready when you get back. Have enough to sate your appetite and also water to repalce what you used and make you feel fuller. it's all a matter of balance.

Well, it really does cancel out the calories that s/he burned. To the OP: if anything, give yourself that PB sandwich right after you run (unless you get queasy from it, that's what happens to my sister) because your metabolism is highest after the run, and you'll burn the calories more quickly.

No it doesn't, as her metabolism would be running at a higher rate.
