i just recently got a trumpet this weekend, because, being so active in my school districts music department, and also because i have an open hour in my class schedule next year, i decided to join my school's band. my lessons were scheduled to begin this week but got pushed back to next month. i dont want to waste around for all that time, but... when i try and play this trumpet, it sounds like puke. chunks of it. i'm sorry for saying that, but i just make the poor trumpet sound horrible. considering i'll be teaching myself how to...improve...until july, does anyone have any helpful tips? ^^;;

make sure your ombechur (sp) is correct, and depending on how high you want to go, make your lips tighter, and use more air. Going lower, make them looser, but still use a good amount of air. I don't play trumpet, but I'm sure this will help.
