If you guys think about it, kobe bryant is born in PA, and should be playing for the 76ers while paul pierce should be playing for the LA Lakers since he was a fan of LA despite the fact he was born in Kansas.

After seeing one of my favorite player, robert horry, being traded to the spurs, it look like any player can be on any team.

And then MJ should play for the NY Knick since that is also where he was born so in reality, it seem fitting.

Which mean Shaq would have never join the Lakers, and would still be playing for either the heat or the magic.

As a long time Lakers fan, I don't think as a fan we ever think that our players are born anywhere else but the state they play in.

opinion?

Disagree, the league wouldn't even be competitive anymore.

But how would you feel if someone like TO (football) was traded to another team?  So does that mean all players are disposables resources?

Uhhh yea, it's their job, they are always going to go where the money is. They(Most of them) couldn't give a shit about where they grew up.

Well Fisher came back to the Lakers after losing 8 million that he could have had with the Jazz.

Well I did say most of them don't care, and the reason he went to the Lakers is he would get more PT and had a much better chance at winning the championship. There are two things that players are willing to sacrifice money for, PT and a shot at the title.

But after Shaq left, the Lakers was a disaster despite still having Bryant.  Plus Fisher was not going to be a starting lineup for the Lakers as he would have for the Jazz.

Fisher wasn't going to start for the Jazz, Deron Williams is their main guy, and rightfully so. Just like the Celtics the Lakers were putting together a team for a shot at the title, Fisher recognized it and jumped aboard.

If that were true all the California, North Carolina and Florida teams would be dominant. And Utah would be shit (which wouldn't be a bad thing, I fucking hate Utah).

It doesnt matter.

In pro sports the players are nothing more than payed investments for a team. They should be able to be traded or dismissed.

If you had players playing were they were born or lived there wouldnt be any leagues because there would be no compition, teams would be stacked in some places.  and for a lot of players money is not always the factor in were they go, its also about winning.
