I've never had a point in my life where I had no friends. I think I'm at this point now. Twenty, no job, and stuck at home every single day. I used to have friends who I would see and talk to at work everyday. Now, no one. No one calls, not even my cousins. I don't know what to do. There is absolutely no way I will go hang out in my backyard and make friends with the gangsters around my neighborhood. My friends have always lived pretty distant from me because I never went to school locally. I'm feeling really bad, and lonely. What am I ever going to do with this depressing life I'm leading...

Get a hobby, find something you're interested in, and try and go somewhere where you know you'll meet people with common interests. The longer you stay isolated the more daunting going out and meeting people will seem. Trust me, go out and be yourself and be happy :)

You can always find people online . .That's how I dealt with the environment I was in, when the people around you just cannot be relied on - well .. . weve got other options . .. Since you're posting ehre I'm sure there are many topics on the forums which cna interest you. Or you could spend a whole day browsing through wikipedia . . Trust me, solitude is a precious gift so many fail to appreciate. I still try to fidn time alone every now and then - It really helps you to build yourself whne you've got no other distractions around. When you're really lonely, you cna always take a trip to the nearby cafe etc when theres less ppl .. strike conversation with the guys workin there. I once spent the whole night talking with the cook .Its amazing what people would share with you if only we asked them to . .
