I reinstalled all my speakers and added four more. because all mine blown out, because they were like crappy speakers.

They are Sony Xplod. Then I was like I want a big sub woofer. So I went and bought one. I think its called Super Q's. They are like 10 or 12in. We hooked it up in the store. It sounded really nice. It had the bump bump bump.

Well we put it in my car and it has less bump. I think it sounded better in the store because he had like a home theater system. But if I wanted more bump. Would I have to purchase a amplifier?

im not sure what my power, and watts are. but i know there in the 3 digits and 4 digits.

I'm kinda new in the speakers/sub woofer/amplifier area.

thanks for your help, sorry if i was like newbish sounding or what ever

My boyfriend has two Xplod (10 inch) and a 1,000 watt amp and it bumps pretty hard.
He turned some knobs up on the amp to make it sound better.

Who told you that you wouldn't need one?
He must have thought you were gonna use it in your house.

Sub amp or sub woofer amplifer.

I'd go with at least 1,00o if you want a good bump.
It won't hurt your speakers.
300 ain't really nothing.

Just go somewhere that does systems and talk to them. They'll let you know what's best for you.
It all depends on how hard and how often you'll be bumpin.

well i take it out on the weekends, but when i get a license. ill be driving it most likely every day. but thanks.

but yeah i was like whats your return policy on these. hes like i dont have one, i just show you that they work. because if you use a amp 500 or over and it blows, then i wont know what caused it.

-- Posted by Clara Bell at 12:42 am on June 21, 2008

He's lame. Always try to buy from someone with some type of warranty. Speakers ain't cheap, as you know.

-- Posted by michael5122 at 12:45 am on June 21, 2008

the sony xplods do, but the subwoofer doesnt, but thats ok.

and yeah speakers are expensive, just on this project, alil over 400.

but i can find a good amp, thats cheap as 30, i got my connections with those. lol

-- Posted by Clara Bell at 12:53 am on June 21, 2008

Yea, it's always good to have connections :]
You might also want to get an on/off switch. You can get one for about $2-3 at Wal-mart and they come in handy if you ever just feel like listening to the music without the bump or if you're driving somewhere that you can't have it on. Just turning down the bass on the radio usually doesn't quiet it completely.
