So basically in our houses drive, my dads been teaching me clutch control, how to use gears, accelerate etc, it's a very small area. It won't do that unless you're out of oil. As for what you've done. Most people do that in their first driving lesson. My average RPM that I shift at is around 5500 to 6000 because I accelerate fast. Coolant and oil handy, your car won't overheat. Learning to drive a stick is very useful though.
