I don't exactly want to go to a college where all of my friends are, but I do want to know someone that's there, you know?

Well, around here, ECU is a school that's extremely easy to get into, and it's a party school. EVERYONE around here is going to that school, and that's the main reason why I don't want to go there. It's definitely gonna be a fall-back, but not first choice.

My best friend said that he definitely was not going to that school, and but now he's changed his mind because everyone else wants to go there, and it's like, "Are you kidding me?  What happened to me and you, sticking it out against the crowd?"

My family wants me to go there because it's only an hour away.  I don't want to attend that school, but I don't want to be completely alone at college...

go to a school where you think you will be happy. if you're basing it on where everyone else is going, you will probably not be happy.

do you think you won't be able to make friends when you go to college?

Do what you'd rather do. You'll make friends at college, trust me. When I went off I didn't think I'd be making friends but I did, you just need to reach out a little. Plus, getting away from the people you know may benefit you more than you think.

I used to really want to go to college when all of my friends were applying for school. I still do, but I'm not into all of the college partying and what not. It just isn't my thing...

I went to a school where I was completely on my own, without a single person I knew. It was the best decision I've ever made in my life.

Friends should be the least of your worries when applying to college. The entire concept of college is to embark on a new journey and meet new people. You'd do just fine in a college where you know absolutely no one, for everyone else would be a freshmen there too.

I say follow your gut lol.
If you want to go to a school you like, and it doesnt consist of friends you know, just go for it. You'll still keep in touch with your past friends somehow. College is a new beginning.
