I'll be a high school senior next year, but most of my classes will probably be at the community college. I think it'll be English, Government, Economics and Bio. The only thing I'm planning on doing at my school is gym, and that's just because my school is really anal about giving gym credit for things not done there. I might want to stay at the CC for a year or two after next year, it depends on how the year goes, and also whether or not I could get into the nursing program which is actually a really good one. So anyway...What's community college like? Is it pretty much like high school? Or what? Any comments are welcome. Thanks.

Community College is relatively easy. You might as well stay there two years then transfer out.

OK...So I guess I'm a loser even though I'll be going to CC for my senior year of high school. And, it's a pretty good stepping stone. I've been thinking about going for 2 years anyway.

Cool. I'm excited about going because I really need a change and to get out of my school. I have some friends who go/have gone to the CC, and they've really liked it from what I've heard.

So I've been thinking about what classes to take... Some of them there's no choice about, like Eng 101, Econ 101 and Posc 103 or 104 (American Government). But then, there are other things that I could take that would be quite useful, and some of them, quite interesting...Bio 104 (General Bio, the equivalent of AP Bio which I would take if I were to be mainly doing classes at my school), Eng 201, Psych 103 (intro to Psychology), Soci 101 (intro to Sociology)...Math 95 (Beginning Algebra, it would be easy since I just took Algebra II this year and got a B and if you get a C or better in it you don't have to take a qualifying exam for the other math courses I would take if I continue at the CC in the nursing program)...And then some random stuff like Fitn 106 (Modern Dance) or Fitn 204 (Karate I). ...And that's just doing basic stuff. There are a whole lot more classes that sound interesting, but I don't want to overload myself. Suggestions on what to take?

I would go with Karate I because you might be able to transfer your rank into a different dojo when the semester is over. I'm currently at CC doing summer semester and I have a class that start tomorrow. I just got my fall classes and I have to pay for them soon. Anyways I suggest that you take classes that you can substitute like if a history class can be replaced by a foreign language class then I suggest you go with the language class. The list that you have now is good but make sure you don't have alot of free time between classes because you'll be bored *personal experience* If you do 15-17 credits a semester then you will be on track for a two year degree. When you do 15-17 credits make sure you do summer classes. Message me for more info.

Well as I said, Government, Economics and English are classes that I have to take...The others are just ones that I want to or would be useful.
