me and a few friends are going to camel beach on friday. she wanted to lose weight before then, but she didn't lose as much as she wanted to. she wanted to lose about 10 more pounds by friday, so shes telling me she won't eat, and all shes going to do is drink water. i told her it's not going to work, but she's doing it anyway. how much weight will she actually lose? and is it worth it?

she will NOT lose 10 by friday. even if she starves herself completely. that's really dumb. tell her she should just be comfortable with how she looks, even if it's not what she wants.

she'll end up losing consciousness if she does that. It's not possible unless she got LBM, then it might wear off a few pounds.

It depends on her status and how active she is and such. Personally, I went about 2 and a half days fasting, with drinking water and diet green tea and stuff, and ended up losing 8 pounds. Fasting slows your metabolism, so you'll drop weight like mad at first but then it'll stop (depends how long you do it for) and after the fast is over you have to be super careful of what you eat, because if you eat something heavy after then you'll gain most or all of the weight back. Usually after fasting girls end up binging and gaining the weight back. Tell her that to make sure she knows because she might be setting herself up for even more depression unless she has really good self control. To break the fast you should eat light foods like fruits and veggies and light yogurt or something. Breads and stuff kill you. hope I helped.<3
